PISCATAWAY, NJ — Piscataway had 10 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total reported cases to 1,272 since the start of the pandemic, according to Middlesex County health officials. No additional information regarding the new cases was provided. The reported death toll remains at 39 for the township.

There were 150 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 deaths reported on Thursday for Middlesex County, according to the Middlesex County Department of Health. 

According to covid19.nj.gov, there are now 22,274 positive cases in Middlesex County and 1,244 confirmed deaths.

In New Jersey, the state Department of Health reported Thursday a total of 234,547 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state 238 days ago, an increase of 1.550 overnight.  There was an increase of 8 deaths overnight, bringing the state total to 14.539. There have been 4,572,531 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

As of 4 p.m. Thursday, there were 1,072 people hospitalized, 217 patients in ICU, 79 on ventilators, and 117 people discharged, according to covid19.nj.gov.
