SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Twin City Pharmacy & Surgical has been serving the community for more than 44 years and prides itself on being ‘today’s modern pharmacy with old fashioned values.’

In addition to being a full-service pharmacy for prescriptions, vaccinations, and other everyday items such as vitamins and other everyday health care items, the Park Avenue business stocks products and supplies for surgical and wound care, ostomy/incontinence care, respiratory care, diabetic management and orthopedic care. “Here, our customers have access to anything in the clinical health care arena needed – whether they are ailing or recovering – to make them comfortable at home,” said Sandy Cassio who, along with her cousin, Tommy Cassio, and brother-in-law Bill Ashnault, has run the family-owned business since 2007. “We always have the best and newest equipment available and can always special order something, whether it be medication or equipment.”

Twin City stocks a wide variety of supplies for bathroom, bedroom, compression, mobility, and orthopedic needs. Additionally, at Twin City, they understand that as people get older, day-to-day activities get more difficult and the pharmacy and surgical supply’s trained and experienced staff will work closely with health care professionals in the area to provide the best equipment so that clients can maintain their regular day-to-day schedule.

"There are several products on the market today that have made living at home easier for the elderly,” said Sandy. “The options are limitless, from unit dose medication delivery to home comfort and safety such as bath aids and lift chairs.”

Twin City also carries a wide variety of items to make dealing with an injury easier, including crutches, slings, walking boots, and wound care items for all ages. “Even though you have an injury, you don't have to let it slow you down,” said Sandy, adding, “The experienced staff of Twin City stands ready to assist with all of medical supply needs to help make your life easier. Many items can also be rented on a daily or monthly basis, depending on need.”

Twin City’s broad range of medical supplies includes aids to daily living, bath safety equipment as well as respiratory care products, including but not limited to, stationary and portable concentrators; nebulizers, CPAP and BiPAP and other respiratory supplies. Twin City also offers a broad selection of surgical and wound care, incontinence care, and orthopedic products along with a complete line of enteral feeding equipment and supplies, including pumps and supplements. Additionally, the pharmacy and surgical supply also offers breast pumps, which, under new federal laws, are covered by most health insurance plans at little or no out-of-pocket cost.

Twin City accepts worker’s compensation, Medicare (on select items) and many insurance plans, including Qualcare, Aetna, Cigna, Amerigroup, Horizon NJ Health, Aetna Better Health, Wellcare and Medicaid.

Open seven-days-a-week, hours of operation are as follows: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
