WILDWOOD, NJ - Have you ever watched the famous Westminster Dog show and wondered what it would be like to be part of it? The Wildwoods Convention Center offered that experience this past weekend with the Atlantic Ocean Classic Dog Show Cluster. The 4 day AKC all breed dog show featured Best of Breed Competitions, Police K-9 Unit Demonstration, Obedience and Rally Trials, 4-6 Month Puppy Competitions, along with many vendors. Training classes were also offered to pet owners to address any problems they were  having with their dog.

Grooming stations were set up around the room for owners to make sure thier dogs were looking perfect for their entrance to the ring. Just like at the the larger shows, all the dogs completed in their categories such as the Herding Dog, the Working Group etc. All working up to the coveted prize, Best in Show!

One visitor to the show commented, “All of these dogs are beautiful. At this level, I would be pressed to have to choose a winner.”

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
