EWING, NJ:  Bonnie Watson Coleman, Democratic Congresswoman from 12th District and the only female representative from New Jersey, will address the Democratic convention alongside Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic women serving in the House of Representatives.

“Contrary to what we saw from Cleveland last week, Democrats recognize the benefits of diversity, the needs of working Americans, and the value of policies that will put all of us on equal footing to be able to achieve our dreams,” said Watson Coleman.  “I’m excited to join my colleagues in laying out the stark contrast between what we can achieve together under the leadership of Secretary Clinton, and what can only drive us further apart, like the misleading and divisive rhetoric spouted by Donald Trump.”

Recently, Watson Coleman and other representatives participated in a "sit-in" on the House floor to protest lack of movement in legislation that could restrict the purchase of military-style weapons.  Watson Coleman has also worked with Senator Cory Booker to invesitgate ways to address issues involving the incarceration of non-violent offenders.
