SAYREVILLE, NJ - Charges have been filed against the director of a local day care for failing to report child abuse, following last week's arrest of Kyle Finn of Sayreville who is accused of abusing three children at the Superhero Schoolhouse Day Care in Parlin.  Yesterday, Finn was charged with the assault of a fourth child at the location.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief John Zebrowski of the Sayreville Police Department charged Finn yesterday with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and second-degree endangering the welfare of another child.  

Also yesterday, Charmaine Larkin, 44, of South River, the day care director, was processed and released on a charge of failure to report child abuse, a disorderly persons offense.

Finn and Larkin were charged following an investigation by Detective Matthew Kenny of the Sayreville Police Department and Detective Suzanne Kowalski of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office that determined the four children were sexually abused at the day care. 

Finn is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center pending a Detention Hearing in Superior Court.
