EDISON, NJ - The 1980 Tony Award winner for best musical EVITA is the smash pop opera about a passionate woman who went from the streets of Argentina to show business stardom, to the highest levels of influence in Buenos Aires. At once both a saint and a villain, Eva Peron’s dramatic, meteoric rise from poverty to prosperity is a groundbreaking – and heartbreaking – depiction of populism, politics and celebrity.
