PISCATAWAY, NJ – The annual Independence Day celebration in Piscataway will be held on Tuesday, July 4th in the Piscataway High School Football Stadium, 100 Behmer Road.
Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and include live music, food, clowns, and rides for the kiddies. Fireworks are set to go off at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Per township police, this is a tobacco and alcohol free event which will be strictly enforced. No pets are permitted, with the exception of service animals.
Parking is available at the high school, as well as the Township Little League Complex and Municipal Building. However, parking will be limited, so plan on arriving early. Handicapped parking is available at the high school with displayed state approved placard or license plates.
All parking on Behmer Road, Sidney Road, Centennial Avenue, Knightsbridge Road and on Hoes Lane (State Route 18) from Behmer Road to Morris Avenue will be strictly prohibited and enforced.
In addition, due to the heavy traffic expected, carpooling to the event is strongly encouraged.
