Jersey Girls Dance Team Brings Home National Championship

FLORIDA - The Jersey Girls All Star Dance Team, with members from Piscataway, represented the East Coast at the National Dance Team Championships Feb. 3 at Walt Disney World, earning their third National title in the Junior Jazz Division.   

The 14-member junior dance team was named the 2017 National Dance Team Junior Jazz Champion for their well-received group performance of “Come Sail Away," at the packed Field House in the ESPN Complex.    

The Jersey Girls also were first runners-up in the Youth Jazz, Senior Pom and Senior Jazz divisions. The 26-member team studies dance at Central Jersey Dance and Gymnastics Center in Middlesex. They are coached by Kristianne Jankowicz, Joann Abbate and Ashley Doyle.
