PLAINFIELD, NJ – JFK Hartwyck at Cedar Brook, a Plainfield-based subacute/long term care facility and one of a few facilities throughout the nation providing care to those affected by Huntington’s disease, was recently awarded a ‘Five-Star’ rating by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The highest recognition awarded by CMS, the ‘Five-Star’ rating is based on state and national data in the categories of ‘overall quality,’ ‘health inspection,’ ‘quality measures,’ ‘staffing,’ and ‘RN staffing.’
“The ‘Five-Star’ rating is difficult to achieve and I am so proud of our hardworking, dedicated, passionate team members who provide excellent care every day to our residents to maintain the highest quality of care,” said Aimee Allen, administrator at JFK Hartwyck at Cedar Brook.
Part of the Hackensack-Meridian Health network, JFK Hartwyck at Cedar Brook focuses on sub-acute rehabilitation, long term care, wound care, IV therapy, hospice and respite care. Additionally, the 106-bed facility, located at 1340 Park Avenue, is also one of only two facilities in the state that offers specialized care for Huntington’s disease.
JFK Hartwyck at Cedar Brook accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance and is run by a team of physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, certified nursing assistants, therapists, social workers, dietitians, recreational therapists, and support staff.
The JFK Hartwyck Centers are part of the Hackensack-Meridian Health system that includes three local long-term and sub-acute rehabilitation centers – JFK Hartwcyk at Edison Estates, JFK Hartwyck at Cedar Brook and Hartwyck at Oak Tree – and the Whispering Knoll Assisted Living along with an extended network of eight other facilities throughout New Jersey.
