Kia Simmons Franchises TAP into Piscataway

Kia Simmons is an active community volunteer, serving as a parent coordinator for her daughter's Girl Scout Troop #80319 and parent volunteer at Grandview Elementary School, while balancing a career as a teacher, mom, and wife.

Married to her husband Ken for 10 years, they have one daughter and live near Kia's parents and her sister's family in Piscataway. Their daughter and nieces attend Piscataway Township Schools.

Kia is a Rutgers University-Newark alum with a BA in English. She also has an MA in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.  Professionally, Kia has worked as a public school educator and professional development training consultant for 17 years. She and her husband used to own and operate Blue Ribbon School Supplies, a parent-teacher store, in Piscataway.
