Join the Middlesex County Office of Arts & History for their next exciting program where arts and science collide, Kinetic Sculpture Makerspace! Using recycled materials, participants will learn about kinetic energy and design a moveable sculpture (such as a “wind spinner” or “whirligig”) that puts science at the heart of each creation. Led by Doug Baldwin, President and Co-founder of NJ Maker’s Day, the basic tools and resources to accomplish a “left-brain/right-brain” project will be provided. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring additional objects for their upcycled design (i.e. old jewelry, buttons, plastic, CDs, toys, gadgets, etc.). The only requirement is bringing your creativity!
The event will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 11am-2pm at JFK Piscataway Public Library, 500 Hoes Lane, in Piscataway, NJ.
Early registration is required, as limited space is available.
Participants under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
