PISCATAWAY, NJ – This year’s 35th Annual National Night Out event for Piscataway will be held Tuesday, Aug. 1st, from 6 pm until 10 pm on Stelton Road by Westergard Library.

National Night Out (NNO) is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The Piscataway Police Department describes NNO as a fun event for the entire family that will include crime prevention and safety tips, a prescription drug drop-off area, visits with law enforcement/fire/EMS, displays from various community groups, great food by local restaurants, music by DJ Marvilous, and feature demonstrations by BMX stunt riders from Hell On Wheels Productions, classic and sport cars, clowns, children's activities and rides, a rock climbing wall, and more.
