NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A New Brunswick man is sitting in the Middlesex County jail, following his arrest in connection with a fatal shooting Friday evening, authorities announced on November 22.

Kim Carter, 37 of New Brunswick, faces charges of murder and unlawful possession of a weapon, following an investigation by local authorities into the fatal November 17 shooting, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.

The shooting left Tawan J. Moses, 25 of East Orange, dead with multiple gunshots wounds. Authorities found Moses on Throop Avenue near Feaster Park at 8:30 p.m., following reports of gunshots in the area, Carey said. Moses was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carter was charged with the homicide on November 21 and is being held at the adult corrections center, according to authorities

Authorities could not be immediately reached for additional comment.
