NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - More than two dozen Hub City restaurants and eateries will showcase special offers two weeks in the annual Restaurant Week - what officials are calling 'Taste of Foodie Heaven" - began July 14.
Places as varied as Jersey Subs, Destination Dogs and Frutta Bowls to Ramen Nagomi, Steakhouse 85 and Christopher’s at The Heldrich have joined in the promotional effort.
The program highlighting the city’s eateries is sponsored New Brunswick City Market, which oversees the city’s special improvement district, as well as the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Central Jersey Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Customers seeking information on the program can look online at www.NBRweek.com, then click on one of the participating restaurants to view the special offers. There are no passes, coupons or passes to pre-purchase.
However, it is recommended that people check if a reservation is needed at a restaurant, and if they need to ask a server for a special Restaurant Week menu.
The special offers will run through July 28, and there are opportunities to win gift cards through the use of social media posts about the meals.
More than 400 retail and restaurant businesses, corporation and community organizations are members of the Special Improvement District.
