Paint-splattered shoes are considered a sartorial no no at most dining establishments and night clubs.

So it should come with a sense of relief that the first and only official paintball "ReBall" center in the TriState area -- and the only paintball facility in NYC -- is now open at Indoor Extreme Sports.

And even better, the New York Social Network wants to take you there for a few hours of good, clean(ish) fun on Saturday.

Reball is a new paintless ball that takes the mess and smell out of an adventure game notorious for it.

The NYSN has reserved 10 spaces for three sessions that will last up to three hours. Your $60 Includes three sessions, gun, mask. ammo belt and unlimited ReBalls.

Participants are to meet at Indoor Extreme Sports (47-11 Van Dam St.) at 4 p.m, but you must register beforehand.

Never again look foolish when perusing the wine list at a fancy restaurant!

Let the NYSN be your host – and experts from The World Bar/Madison & Vine Wine Bar be your tutor – on Saturday for a wine tasting event featuring a dozen top wines for you to sample and and learn.

The event designed for both people who love a good wine and those who know nothing about it. Other social groups will be joining in for even more fun.

The wine will be free flowing and you can fill your glass as many times as you like, with hot and cold appetizers served along the way.

It all takes place at the World Bar (845 United Nations Plaza) for $47 -- or less than price of a bottle of decent red at a restaurant.

Governors Island was once home to Native American tribes, then Dutch and British settlements. It was strategic part of the American Revolution and home for the U.S. Coast Guard for years.

Now the island is a historic goldmine and, on Saturday morning, it will be the destination for a group of NYSN members and friends.

Visitors will head to the famous island food square then enjoy special guided tour by a Nation Parks Ranger, touring historic Fort Jay and Hammock Grove among other sites.

The group will travel over together on the 11 a.m. ferry after meeting at the Battery Maritime Building (10 South Street), next to the Staten Island Ferry.

Cost is $15.

Why are you running for election to the Piscataway Township Council?

I am running for election to the Piscataway Township Council because I believe that a vibrant democracy only flourishes when the governed have a voice in their government, be it in the form of compromise, protest, or even becoming viable candidates themselves. Cluelessly Clueless

I teenaged my way through high school under the assumption that my parents had no idea what I was doing.  I like to think I was pretty good at withholding information and presenting situations in ways that were other than they really were.

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
