PISCATAWAY, NJ — Amazing Lash Studio celebrated its grand opening in Piscataway with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.
Located at 1364 Centennial Ave., in Centennial Plaza, Mayor Brian Wahler congratulated the company’s newest franchisee, Mae Shen-Wilson and her husband, Allen for transforming the former Starbucks location into a full-service eyelash extension studio.
“This is the only place that has licensed professionals to do the cosmetic work which is key in this day and age of state licensing,” said Wahler as he helped Shen-Wilson and her team cut the ceremonial Grand Opening ribbon.

Shen-Wilson was a client of Amazing Lash Studio for two years before she decided to open her own business.
“They showed me how to properly care for my lashes,” said Shen-Wilson as she pointed out the eyewash stations during a tour. “We have eyewash stations so clients wash their eyes prior to each service so we can make sure they are nice and clean.” This way the adhesives stick and eyelashes stay on properly.
“What makes us different from others, besides our fully licensed estheticians and cosmetologists is that we have twelve private studio rooms,” said Shen-Wilson comparing them to traditional settings that typically only have curtains separating the beds.
“The clients get to use a relaxing table with a bolster under their legs and a nice blanket, and they have privacy. This way they have time to relax and enjoy while getting their lashes done, and they walk out looking beautiful,” she said.
