PISCATAWAY, NJ — The township’s annual Memorial Day Parade  has been canceled for 2020, in light of social distancing and concerns over crowd control during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In conjunction with American Legion Piscataway NJ Post 261, we are sad to announce that this year’s Memorial Day parade is canceled," said Piscataway officials in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

They ask residents “to consider flying American flags or placing patriotic decorations outside their homes this Memorial Day weekend to show our community’s appreciation for all of those who have served in uniform.”
