PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Piscataway Municipal Alliance will host a free program on how to spot signs that children may have hidden drugs and alcohol in their bedrooms.
“Hidden in Plain Sight”, an interactive seminar presented by Monmouth University Criminal Justice Professor, Douglas S. Collier, MA, DEA (Ret.) will cover risk factors associated with early drug use, how common household items are used to mask drug detection and drug use, stigma, and prevention strategies.
The free substance abuse prevention awareness program will be held Wednesday, April 24 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. in the Piscataway High School Performing Arts Center (PAC), 100 Behmer Road.
This event is open to parents, caregivers, community members, educators, and adults who work with youth. No one under 21 years of age is permitted to attend, but complimentary child care will be available.
