PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Piscataway Township Police Department announced Tuesday evening that they are fully aware of the Snapchat video circulating on social media that appears to show someone holding a rifle and the words, “Maybe Tomorrow" written on the screen.

“We are actively and aggressively investigating the origin of this message and who is responsible for its posting,” said police officials on the department’s Facebook page.

They continue:

"This investigation is still very active and fluid. Although the social media post did not specify an exact location, or even a school, we are taking this very seriously. We continue to work with the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and our other law enforcement partners to determine the exact origins of this Snapchat post.

"With that being said, there will be a heavy and very visible police presence at Piscataway Schools tomorrow to safeguard all students. In addition, we ask that you refrain from contacting Police Headquarters in regards to school closures or your safety concerns. These calls put a strain on our resources that are needed to fully investigate this incident.

"However, if anyone has direct information regarding the origin of this message, we DO urge you to contact Police Headquarters at (732) 562-1100."
