PISCATAWAY, NJ - Patrolman Elk Peterkin, Patrolman Jason Kreideweis, and Patrolman Kyle Snyder are three new officers who recently joined the Piscataway Police Department. The Command Staff introduced the new officers to township residents in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
“Patrolman Elk Peterkin comes to us from the East Orange Police Department with 6 years of service, serving in the Patrol Division, Street Crimes Unit, and recently as School Resource Officer in East Orange Campus High School. He is a graduate of the Bergen County Police Academy and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and Eastern Gateway Community College,” said police officials.
“Patrolman Jason Kreideweis comes to us from the South Bound Brook Police Department, serving since 2016. He is a graduate of Raritan Valley Community College where he earned an Associates in Criminal Justice. Jason graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy and also holds a Humane Law Enforcement Officer certificate from Morris County Public Safety Academy. Jason is a former volunteer firefighter with the Possumtown Fire Company and served with the Chester Borough Police Department as a Special Law Enforcement Officer.
“Patrolman Kyle Snyder comes to us from the Roselle Park Police Department where he served since 2015. He graduated from the John H. Stamler Police Academy and holds an Associates in Criminal Justice from Brookdale Community College. In 2018, Kyle was a recipient of the M.A.D.D. Award for his Drunk Driving Enforcement efforts. Kyle is also a former Special Law Enforcement Officer with Carteret Police.”
“The officers are currently assigned to the Training Section until re-assigned to their respective Field Training Officers in the Patrol Section,”said officials. “Please extend a welcome to our new additions to the Police Department.”
