PISCATAWAY, NJ – A flood of well-wishes poured in yesterday in response to an announcement on the Piscataway Police Department’s Facebook page introducing two new police officers who have joined the ranks of the PTPD.
According to the post:
“Patrolman Howay Yang comes to us from a 1 year enlistment with the New Jersey State Police where he was assigned to the Hamilton Station, Troop C. He is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Masters of Education in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and a B.A. in Psychology. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.
Patrolman Kenneth Buco comes to us from the Bridgewater Police Department where he served since December 2013. He is a graduate of the John H. Stamler Police Academy and attended Kean University. Kenneth proudly served with the United States Marine Corps as a Field Artillery Fire Control Man for 6 years.
The Officers began their careers with the PTPD today, and are currently assigned to the Training Section for a two week orientation. They will then be detailed to the Patrol Section where they will be assigned to their respective Field Training Officers for a 12 week Field Training Program.
