PISCATAWAY, NJ – On Thursday, January 7, the Piscataway Board of Education appointed Adelita N. Deepan to serve a one-year-term, bringing the Board to its full nine-member standing. She will fill the seat vacated by Thomas Mosier who resigned from the board last November.
Deepan brings to the Board a background in accounting and finance, coupled with a strong commitment to schools and community. She currently works as a Senior Specialist in Financial Planning and Analysis at Merck & Co., Inc. Prior experience includes Assistant Finance Manager at AXA Equitable and Revenue Assurance Analyst at T. Mobile. Deepan holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York.
A fourteen-year-resident of Piscataway, Deepen is an active PTO member who has served on the executive board of the PTO for Martin Luther King Intermediate School.
