PISCATAWAY, NJ – A new meditation garden and walkway at the Gayatri Pariwar Center will be considered by the Piscataway Zoning Board this Thursday as representatives for the center will present their application for a usage variance.

Preliminary and final site plans will be reviewed and voted on, as current zoning does not allow for the type of garden proposed for the Centennial Ave. property.

Also on the agenda, T-Mobile will present an appeal to upgrade a rooftop wireless telecommunications facility on Old New Brunswick Road. However, Harris Realty’s site plan application to install an outdoor storage area at a Lakeview Ave. shopping center has been postponed to March 25.

M & M Partners at Piscataway, LLC was also scheduled to present preliminary and final site plans for the proposed warehouse project on South Washington Ave. This has also been postponed to March 25 since several board members won't be in attendance.

Update on the Old New Brunswick Road warehouse that is under construction: According to a February 18 news release, Bob’s Discount Furniture has signed a long-term lease to the property.  

“Once complete in summer 2021, 150 Old New Brunswick Road will provide the national furniture retailer with a LEED certified industrial facility featuring 40’ clear height, 125 dock doors, 302 parking spaces and 127 trailer spaces,” said officials.
