PLAINFIELD, NJ - In October, the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra will head into its 98th season. Founded in 1919, the PSO is the oldest community symphony in New Jersey.
Prior to the season's kick-off, a Symphony Soirée will take place on Saturday, Sept. 9th, from 7:00 to 11:30 pm. The September gala is the Plainfield Symphony’s signature fundraising event, highlighting the upcoming season, and offering guests the opportunity to enjoy an evening under the stars at one of Plainfield’s grand historic homes.
The black-tie optional event includes a cocktail party with hors d’ oeuvres and open bar, a buffet supper, and dessert. Highlights of the evening include remarks and a performance by Charles Prince, the Music Director of the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra, and a special live auction.
The event will be held at the home of Kate and Rob Fleschler, at 1050 Rahway Road in Plainfield. Attendees may park on side streets, with some parking available at neighboring homes. A crossing guard will be on duty to assist party goers across Rahway Road.
Tickets for the Symphony Soirée can be purchased online here. You can also purchase both individual and season tickets for performances that are held at Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church at www.plainfieldsymphony.org/tickets.
