NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Authorities have released a newer photograph of one of two suspects in a shooting earlier this month that killed a New Brunswick man.

The updated photo of Michael Martin, 26, who goes by the nickname “Maniac,” shows him with short hair and several tattoos on his face, including a cross between his eyebrows. The image stands in contrast to a photo published earlier today, which shows Martin with budding dreadlocks and no facial tattoos.

Martin and Rayshawn Riddick, 31, have each been charged with one count of first-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to an announcement from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and the New Brunswick Police Department.

Both men are on the run, police said.

The FBI is helping local authorities track down the suspects, cops said.

They're also searching for Dianna Williams, 26, of New Brunswick. Police believe she is with the two suspects, and they hope to question her, they said.

Martin and Riddick were charged in connection with the Aug. 18 slaying of Hakim Williams, a 31-year-old New Brunswick resident. Police found him dead in his car on Fulton Street, they said.

Martin and Riddick are from Newark, cops said. They didn't say where the men might be hiding, but police have asked for the public's help in pinpointing their location.

Anyone with information should call city Det. Kenneth Abode at 732-745-4217 or county Sgt. Scott Crocco at 732-745-4471.

Anonymous tips are also welcome through the county's Crime Stoppers service at 1-800-939-9600, www.middlesextips.com or by text-messaging 274637 with the keyword “midtip” and then the information.
