BELMAR, NJ — Youngsters can let dad know he’s their hero this Father’s Day — and every day — with a custom-designed T-shirt from Big Frog T-Shirts & More of Belmar.

Today, June 16 is the last day children can participate in its “Super Dad” T-Shirt Giveaway, just in time for Father’s Day tomorrow.

“Every child will get the opportunity to create one shirt of their own — free of charge — to give to dad to celebrate his special day,” said Doug Hahner, owner of Big Frog of Belmar. “Most dads have many T-shirts, but this one will always be his favorite one.”

Here is how Big Frog’s Father’s Day giveaway works: Stop by the store, located in Belmar Plaza, and pick up a special “Super Dad” coloring page or download the page by clicking herepdf.

Children can then color the page, add their name or a special message and bring back their completed artwork to the Big Frog store, where it will be scanned into its state-of-the-art garment decorating system.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Youngsters will then get the chance to press the big green button on the machine and watch their shirt get printed — “a gift that dad will always treasure,” Hahner said.

Big Frog of Belmar is located just around the corner of Main Street and Eighth Avenue, behind the Beach Haus Brewery. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To learn more about its Father’s Day T-shirt giveaway, call Big Frog at Belmar at call 732-749-7700 or email belmar@bigfrog.com.

Get Inspired at Big Frog of Belmar

Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More is where customers can design their own custom-logo’d apparel, right there on site with the help of specially trained graphic designers.

Color-splashed displays of all styles of shirts and other items — from aprons and towels to pet and baby items — adorn the space’s apple green walls. Two computer design stations sit at the front of the store, while the high-technology garment decorating system occupies the back of the space, showcased by a floor-to-ceiling rainforest mural.

Big Frog’s cutting-edge technology is the best in the business — direct-to-garment (DTG) printing that bonds ink to the fabric’s molecules, allowing products to be washed in hot or cold water and with color-safe bleaching without risking damage, cracking or peeling of the image.

In addition to its state-of the-art DTG printing, its array of design options include embroidery, screen printing, ultra-prints, vinyl application, flock and even bling to add sparkle to your creations.

And it offers a host of amenities, including no design or set-up fees, no minimum quantities, volume discounts starting at 10 items of any assortment and a 24-hour turnaround time on in-stock merchandise.

Big Frog of Belmar located behind the Beach Haus Brewery on Eighth Avenue and Main Street. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 732-749-7700, email belmar@bigfrog.com or visit its website at bigfrog.com/belmar.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
