PISCATAWAY, NJ - Let it snow? Say it ain't so!

The first traces of a snow in Piscataway may soon be upon us.  Forecasters are tracking a cold front traveling off the coast, right now southeast of New Jersey.

It’s not certain if that’ll result in snow, but residents should at least expect a wintry mix of snow and rain this weekend, according to Faye Morrone, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service’s New York City office.

The slushy mix will start early Friday and continue through the rest of the day, carrying on through Saturday and into Sunday morning, Morrone said.  Highs are expected to be in the low 40's while this happens.

But there aren’t any specifics at the moment of how many inches of this slushy mix we might get, Morrone said, since the weather service doesn't estimate snowfall this many days out.

There is still a chance for full-blown snow to make its way over the region, which would certainly get shoppers in the holiday spirit.

“The question is basically, when does that develop, where does that develop and how does it track,” Morrone said. “That plays into what sort of precipitation we’ll see into the weekend.”

Why are you running for election to the Piscataway Township Council?

I am running for election to the Piscataway Township Council because I believe that a vibrant democracy only flourishes when the governed have a voice in their government, be it in the form of compromise, protest, or even becoming viable candidates themselves. Cluelessly Clueless

I teenaged my way through high school under the assumption that my parents had no idea what I was doing.  I like to think I was pretty good at withholding information and presenting situations in ways that were other than they really were.

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
