He entered at the store at 3 p.m. and proceeded to steal several items while an employee was distracted, and fled the store on a bicycle.

The second suspect allegedly stole items from the 7-Eleven on Route 1 as well as the Quick Chek on Route 27.

In both cases, the suspect asked the clerk for cartons of cigarettes, according to police.

Police said that after the clerk produced the cartons, the suspect grabbed them and fled prior to paying.

Police do not believe the thefts to be related.

Anyone who can identify the suspects is asked to call South Brunswick Detective Bureau at (732) 329-4000 extension 7443.
