SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The South Plainfield Police Department have made an arrest in the November 10th, 2016, robbery at the Quick Check convenient store located at 100 Sampton Ave, South Plainfield, NJ,

According to Police, Michael Sala, 44, of South Plainfield, NJ, entered the store and demanded cash from the teller.  After being given cash from the register Sala fled the area. 

During an unrelated burglary investigation, Sala was arrested and charged with allegedly entering a landscaping truck and committing the theft of two cellular phones.  In an investigation by the South Plainfield Police Department Detective Division, it was later determined that Sala was also a suspect in the Quick Check robbery.

Sala was charged with robbery, two counts of theft, and burglary.  He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center awaiting bail to be set by the Middlesex County Superior Court.
