SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – According to South Plainfield Police a Clark Lane resident walked in on an active burglary at their home on Monday evening at approximately 9:15pm. The resident encountered the burglar in the bedroom and the burglar fled the home on foot at which time the resident contacted the Police.
 
Responding South Plainfield police units conducted a sweep of the area and located the alleged suspect in a vehicle near the scene. Jeraldo Santana, 24 of North Brunswick was identified as the suspect. He was arrested and charged with burglary and theft. Santana also had outstanding warrants from Trenton and Freehold totaling $2,286 according to police. He is currently being held in the Middlesex County Jail on $75,000 bail.
