NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - St. Alban's Episcopal Church in New Brunswick celebrates its 95th anniversary with a spectacular Banquet and Silent Auction on Sat., October 22 at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, 515 US Highway 1 South, in Iselin, NJ.
The event, themed “Onward and Upward .... On Christ the Solid Rock We Stand,” honors four friends and members of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, whose enduring association with the church echoes the sacrifice of St. Alban the Martyr, for whom the church is named. They are Crystal Anderson Singleton, Daphne V. Johnson-Jones, Mariam Merced and James H. Simmons, Jr.
The 95th celebration event will start at 7 p.m. and will feature door prizes and a silent auction.
According to Joseph Silcott, chairman of the St. Alban’s Fundraising Committee, members have worked hard all year “to plan a first-class event that will celebrate the church’s enduring presence and one that will pay appropriate tribute to our friends, supporters and church members for their dedication to St. Alban’s.”
St. Alban’s has served as an anchor of stability in the local community, operating a weekly Food Pantry and Thrift Shop at the church, located at 148 Lee Ave, New Brunswick, NJ.
Tickets are $75 per person, and are available in advance only. No tickets will be sold at the door.
