EDISON, NJ - St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church at 445 Old Post Road in Edison is holding a food drive to support Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOODS) on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon.
MCFOODS helps support over 100 Middlesex County food pantries, including the one at St. Paul’s, and social services agencies that help county residents in need of food assistance.
Non-perishable foods including tuna, cereal, macaroni and cheese, condensed milk, canned meats and pastas, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, stews, brown rice, paper products, toiletries such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste, and baby supplies like diapers and wipes will be accepted. Only canned and packaged foods can be accepted. Glass jars cannot be accepted.
MCFOODS has long supported St. Paul's food pantry, an important resource in the Edison community for several decades. MCFOODS has recently seen a shortfall in donations and needs help stocking its shelves to help Middlesex County neighbors in need. The St. Paul's food pantry serves the community most mornings, Monday thru Friday.
