Therapeutic Horse Farm in Hillsborough Hosts Family Fun Day for Special Needs Children, Adults and Families

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ – A free Family Fun Day for children and adults with special needs and their families will be hosted by Adonis Basil at his Legend Equestrian and Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute on Saturday, May 20 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

The institute is the centerpiece of a sprawling 30-acre horse farm dotted with stables, pastures and riding trails at 1800 Millstone Road.

Guests will have the opportunity to take pony rides and enjoy outdoor games.

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served.

Hillsborough Police and the township’s Woods Road Fire Department will also display their equipment.

Basil expects several hundred people to attend.

The New Jersey chapter of the Organization for Autism Research helped to organize the event.

Basil, who purchased the property in December, 2015, is a licensed physical therapist, certified in several specialties. He has designed a treatment protocol that integrates the movement and motions of riding a horse to treat patients, many of whom are young children and service veterans.
