THS Seeks Submission of Juried Art Works for 26th Juried Art Exhibition

TEWKSBURY, NJ - The Tewksbury Historical Society is seeking submission of materials for its 26th Tewksbury Juried Art Exhibition, taking place Sept. 30 thru Oct. 7 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Christian Education Center in Oldwick.

An Opening Reception is scheduled for Sept. 29. THS President Shaun Van Doren and THS member Andy Calamaras will co-chair the show and sale, which includes Juried Works, Small Works and Portfolios Areas..  

Juried Work submission deadline is Sept. 8 and must be original to the show, not having been submitted to any other THS Juried Art Exhibition. Categories of work are Animal, Abstract, Landscape, Floral and Still-Life. Media are oil, acrylic, paper (pastel, watercolor, mixed media collage, hand pulled print (etching, silk screen, lithograph) and photography (analog or digital). No giclees allowed. Artists must be at least 18 years old.

Eligibility of Small Work and of Portfolio Area is contingent on submission of at least one juried piece.

Jurors of the Show will be Joel Tidey, Judge of Selection, and Andrea Gianchiglia, Judge of Awards. Awards are "Best in Show", "Best of Tewksbury" and the "Marion Katnack Award - Tewksbury Landscape", plus First-, Second- and Third-place Honorable Mention in each category.

Fatal shooting in Plainfield under investigation
