For many dedicated Americans of South Asian descent, the Garden State is our home. As Vice President of the Township Council and a leader in the India Cultural Association of Central New Jersey and the Indian Business Association, I am proud to nurture the bridge between these families and the community at large.
Piscataway continues to promote inclusivity for residents of all backgrounds, an especially important priority for our Township as our country faces social division intentionally sowed by an Oval Office intent on attacking Americans new to this wonderful nation.
In August at our newly-built community center, we celebrated India Independence Day by raising the American and Indian flags, honoring our heritage and pledging unrivaled loyalty to the United States. Celebrated soon after July 4th, the independence days of these two great nations, both former colonies of the British, is a tribute to the vital principle that responsible citizens can elect their own leaders and choose their own destiny.
In Piscataway, the wonderful harmony enjoyed among neighbors is a result of the incumbent Democrats making a priority of welcoming all in our Township. Re-electing the Column A Democrats, a team diverse in background and unified in spirit, is an affirmation that you value everyone contributing to this community and that every group has a seat at the decision-making table.
Our team has proven enormous success in working together to protect and enhance the wonderful quality of life in Piscataway. New jobs have been created, a community center has been built, and our neighborhoods are filled with happy and peaceful homes. In Piscataway, the American Dream is open for everyone.
Yet throughout the United States, we Americans face enormous challenges, foiled by the disastrous Trump presidency and besieged by the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why electing the entire Column A slate led by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is the critical step you can take to ensure that from the White House and halls of Congress to our own Town Hall have true, responsible leaders in place who can guide our shared future to real prosperity and lasting well-being. As such, I again seek your support for another four years on the Township Council to work successfully with you and all our friends and neighbors in continuing to move Piscataway forward.
