About Me: I have lived in Piscataway with my husband and two children for 16 years. Both my daughters attended and graduated from the Piscataway public school, and my husband and I were happy to raise our family in our wonderful Piscataway community. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my friends and family, and my favorite TV show is Judge Judy.
What I stand for: I would like to see the lighting around our neighborhoods improved, the roads properly repaired and maintained, and a sidewalk to the park so our children can walk safely. Local expansion of business and recreation would greatly increase the communal feeling in Piscataway and bring our neighborhoods together. Basic investment in our neighborhoods is necessary to continue to grow and flourish as a community.
Why I am running: I am running for County Committee because I want to be a strong advocate for social, political, and economic justice within the Democratic Party, and because I want to be an advocate for improved quality of life in our neighborhood. As your Committee representative I will be proud to represent the interests of Ward 4, District 8, and ensure that all voices are heard.
About Me: I have enjoyed being a member of the Piscataway community for the past 20 years. I have an amazing wife and three children, all of whom attended Piscataway Public Schools. My daughter graduated from PHS and is graduating from college this year. My sons are still enrolled in the Piscataway Public Schools, one is a freshman in the Engineering Academy at PHS, and my youngest is in Grandview Elementary. In my spare time I love playing cricket and soccer with my sons, and spending quality time with family and friends.
What I stand for: I believe that Piscataway can and should be a Green Community:
- Adopt a Clean Air Piscataway ordinance, a bulk purchase plan for renewable energy
- Preserve Open Space and stop irresponsible development
- Stop building trucking depots next to our residential neighborhoods
Why I am running: I have over 12 and a half years’ worth of experience in the financial industry and am running for the County Committee because as a parent and member of our lovely town, I would want the voices of our townspeople to be heard and their respective concerns to be addressed. I would be honored to represent Ward 4, District 8 as your Committee representative to make our community a better place for generations to come.
