BREAK BAD HABITS…Learn Good Fundamentals
Too many young players develop bad basketball habits and never learn to correct them until they’re in high school and by that time it’s too late. This camp is designed to correct those bad habits now and hopefully this will eliminate the learning curve many players face after they enter high school. Additionally, some players develop early and become dominate and therefore they stop working on the fundamentals, as they become older and other players develop their skills, they pass by the dominate player and become better players and go on to play at the next level.
Defense is an area where the majority of kids fall short and need the most help. The defensive focus of the camp will teach players the proper way to play man on the ball defense as well as team defense. All players need help in this area and lack of defense is what hurts high school players the most. Players who learn how to play defense early will always have an advantage over other players.
LEARN TO BE THE VERY BEST YOU CAN BE
This camp will emphasize the fundamental skills of basketball and participants will receive individual instructions in every phase of the game. In addition to individual skill work, there will be game periods every day and campers will participate in a variety of contests designed to teach the importance of team play and competition.
