The 3D printers from the Library's MiY Makerspace have been hard at work. Doug, our Head of Technology, has been working with Middlesex County Masks to put our 3D printers to use. In partnership with the Pingry School, we've printed over 500 mask hooks, which help make long shifts wearing masks more comfortable.

Middlesex County Masks has been sending masks and mask hooks to local hospitals including St. Peter's University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, as well as local nursing homes, police and fire departments, post offices, and sanitation companies.

Doug has also spent some time helping Steven, a regular library patron, troubleshoot his new 3D printer! Now that Steven is up and running, he's been printing mask hooks, too - here he is with his first 51.
