SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Bodnar's Auctions kicks off the 2021 Auction season with an eclectic sale of collectibles and investment quality items, including a 1978 Silver Anniversary Chevy Corvette.

The two-part online sale begins 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, with box lots and a collection of elephant figurines, with hundreds of items from several estates in the tri-state area sold on Thursday, Jan. 7 also beginning at 11 a.m.

Estate collections include Art Deco-period Art including a collection from Rockwell Kent (June 21, 1882 – March 13, 1971) who was an American painter, printmaker, illustrator, writer, sailor, adventurer and voyager.[1] Rockwell Kent was born in Tarrytown, NY. Kent was of English descent and lived much of his early life in and around New York City, where he attended the Horace Mann School. In his mid-40s he moved to an Adirondack farmstead that he called Asgaard where he lived and painted until his death. Kent studied with several influential painters and theorists of his day. Most of his art in the sale is estimated at $300-$600. This collection contains more Art Deco influenced art with over 20 pieces.

From New York City comes a collection of dog, cat and animal figurines, unusual 19th century cat related canes as well as art. Figurines include early Staffordshire, Royal Doulton, Royal Copenhagen, Rosenthal and other various makers. Sterling silver will be represented with flatware, decorative pieces and a quality tea set as well as 19th century spoon collection. Art Glass includes a selection of Lalique, Daum, Moser and other quality makers.

The highlight of the auction will be a 1978 Silver Anniversary Chevy Corvette car. With only 28,639 miles, garage-kept and only taken out for shows, this car runs great and is all original. It even has its owner's manual and bill of sale from 1979 for $14,352.25. There is no minimum bid and is guaranteed to sell to the highest bidder with an estimate of $10,000-$15,000.00.

Furniture will also be represented with quality Danish Modern including a rare 9-piece Danish style Mid-Century Modern dining room set by Broyhill Premier the Brasilia collection. Set includes table with 6 chairs, a 2-piece double sided wall divider type open china closet and a tile toped server in very good to new condition estimated at $1000-$1,500.00. Also, a complete carved antique dining room set in the manor of RJ Horner and other great accent pieces will be sold to the highest bidder.
