PISCATAWAY, NJ - Before the Thursday, August 8 Concert in the Park performance, come to the Piscataway Historical and Heritage Society’s dedication of a new historical marker at Columbus Park at 6:15 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the section of the park overlooking the falls by the intersection of William Street and New Market Road and near the cannon.

The new marker was researched and created by former Society President Jerry Gargiulo and his son Jim and features information about an October 1779 raid by the British Queen's Rangers cavalry unit that began at a tavern that was at the corner of Stelton Road and Lakeview Avenue.
