PISCATAWAY, NJ – As construction on the new Piscataway Community Center continues to take shape, township officials marked a milestone with a ceremonial beam signing last week.

The beam was the last major piece of steel to be erected onto the building and was signed by members of town council and other dignitaries including Senator Bob Smith, Freeholder Ken Armwood, and Rev. Linwood Rouse of the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church.

Mayor Brian Wahler expressed his gratitude to DPW and the construction companies on the progress that has taken place in building the $32 million center which he reported is now ahead of schedule.
