PISCATAWAY, NJ - The holiday season is filled with celebrations, family, fun and gifts.  With it, comes lots of packaging, cardboard, bottles, cans and Christmas trees.

To help with holiday clean-up, residents can have undecorated live-cut Christmas trees recycled throughout January.

Piscataway Township officials said in a Facebook post:

“Christmas trees will not be picked up. Residents may bring them to their local Piscataway firehouse only during the month of January, or they can be brought to the Recycling Center during the hours as shown below.

Trees must be devoid of all decorations. Trees will be recycled.

Recycling Center hours:

Tuesdays* & Thursdays, 2-8 p.m. (Gates close at 7:45 p.m.)
Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Gates close at 4:15 p.m.)
Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & holidays – Closed

The Recycling Center will be closed on Tuesday, December 31st.
