PISCATAWAY, NJ — Some positive news on the weather for a change. The coastal storm forecast for tonight into tomorrow has moved much closer to the coast, and further inland. This has allowed both warmer temperatures to influence, and dry sections to begin to infiltrate the storm. This has allowed the storm to likely be an all-rain event for the majority of the night, with little to no icing still expected. The only exception to this might be far northwestern New Jersey, which can still see some icing in the early portion of the storm before that area too will change to rain.
The focus now changes to Thursday and Friday, where models are indicating another coastal low that could provide a quick blast of snow before changing to sleet and rain. It appears that we are near the end of the conveyor belt.
