PISCATAWAY, NJ - There are 23 new cases in Piscataway according to Middlesex County health officials on Thursday, bringing the total to 422 residents who have tested positive in Piscataway. No additional information regarding the new cases was provided.
According to covid19.nj.gov, there are now 6,994 positive cases in Middlesex County and 278 deaths.
The latest tally in the Garden State includes at least 4,391 positive cases (75,317 total) and at least 362 more deaths (3,518 total). Of the 8,224 patients hospitalized, Gov. Murphy noted that 2,014 are requiring critical or intensive care, and 1,645 require ventilators services.
Statewide there are 76,513 negative test results reported.
Since March 31, over 8,000 patients have been discharged, according to State Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli.
The increasing cases are expected as the total number of positive cases throughout the state has increased, said health officials. They urge residents to continue practicing social distancing and limit gatherings in the effort to flatten the curve.
