PISCATAWAY, NJ - Middlesex County health officials are reporting 10 new positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total to 682 Piscataway residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.  

The reported death toll remains at 14 for the township.

There are now 11,102 positive cases in Middlesex County and 515 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

The NJ Department of Health reported 113,856 cases, an increase of 2,673 overnight. Statewide, there were 6,442 COVID-19 related deaths overnight, an increase of 398 since Tuesday, a significant increase over the previous two days, when 75 deaths were reported on Monday and 106 on Tuesday.

Statewide there have been 120,503 negative test results. 

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas. These are the best ways to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
