PISCATAWAY, NJ - Middlesex County health officials are reporting 16 new positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 741 Piscataway residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.  

The reported death toll remains at 20 for the township.

There are now 12,597 positive cases in Middlesex County and 639 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

Statewide, there are 126,744 cases, an increase of 3,027 overnight, with 7,871 deaths reported, an increase of 129 since Saturday, according to the State Department of Health. 

There have been 148,322 negative test results reported for the Garden State.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas. These are the best ways to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
