PISCATAWAY, NJ - Middlesex County health officials are reporting 7 new positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 766 Piscataway residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.  

The reported death toll remains at 25 for the township.

There are now 13,937 positive cases in Middlesex County and 793 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

Statewide, there are 138,532 cases, an increase of 1,447 overnight, with 9,255 deaths reported, an increase of 139 since Friday, according to the State Department of Health.

The three-day rolling average of new COVID-19 cases in New Jersey is under 1,700, which is the lowest rate since March.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas. These are the best ways to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
