PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Middlesex County Health Department notified Piscataway officials on Tuesday of 8 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total amount of residents who have tested positive to 42.

No other information regarding the new cases was immediately available. They are under investigation by the Middlesex County Health Department.

The increasing number of cases is expected as the total amount of positive cases throughout the state has increased. Residents are urged to continue practicing social distancing and to limit gatherings in the effort to flatten the curve.

Residents can visit the Middlesex County website at www.middlesexcountynj.gov/COVID-19  or contact 2-1-1 for information about the testing site, as well as call the Middlesex County Office of Health Services at 732-745-3100.
