PISCATAWAY, NJ - Middlesex County health officials are reporting 1 new positive COVID-19 case on Monday, bringing the total to 834 Piscataway residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.  No additional information regarding the new case was provided.

The reported death toll remains at 35 for the township.

There are 16,227 positive cases in Middlesex County and 1,043 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

New Jersey's death toll from the coronavirus climbed to 12,214 overnight, an increase of 38 more victims, with the number of positive cases increasing to 164,497, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas.
