PISCATAWAY, NJ – Middlesex County health officials reported 2 new positive COVID-19 cases in Piscataway over the last 24-hour period, bringing the total to 838 residents who have tested positive. No additional information regarding the new cases was provided.

The reported death toll remains at 34 for the township.

There are 16,288 positive cases in Middlesex County and 1,064 deaths, according to covid19.nj.gov.

Today marked the 90th day since New Jersey’s first confirmed case of COVID-19 was declared. In that time, 165,364 have tested positive for the respiratory ailment, 12,377 residents have died as a result of the virus.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas. These are the best ways to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
